Founded spontaneously by a group of Chinese Australians who care deeply about the healthcare workers fighting at frontline of the COVID-19 epidemic, MedFamiliy is staffed entirely by volunteers. All members work voluntarily, use their own resources, and are dedicated to help fighting the epidemic.
We raise funds to procure TGA-certified personal protective equipment (PPE), including medical masks, N95 mask, protective suits and gowns. We then donate these PPE to designated Victorian hospitals.
Many MedFamily volunteers are medical professionals or family members of medical professionals. We understand relevant quality standards for medical PPE. We are very well informed of the shortage situation at the hospitals. We will ensure that only qualified supplies will be purchased and we will donate them to hospitals where the need is greatest.
